About The Position
Job Title : Neonatal / Pediatric Transport SpecialistJob Specialty : Respiratory CareJob Duration : Not specifiedShift : 7pm-7amGuaranteed Hours : 36 hours per weekExperience : Prefer minimum of 1 year in NICU and Pediatric ICULicense : Graduate of a respiratory therapy program with successful completion of the Registered Respiratory Therapist and Perinatal Specialist Exam (NPS Credential) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
New hires have one year from hire date to pass the Perinatal Specialist Exam (NPS Credential).Certifications : BLS required.
Must have or obtain NRP, Stable, ACLS, and PALS Certifications within 6 months of hire or transfer.Must-Have : - Ability to be on call- Ability to lift 30 pounds- Maintain active air and ground transport capabilityJob Description : - Provide excellent, quality, and consistent care to all critically ill infants and pediatric patient populations.
- Demonstrate and maintain competency in all therapeutic procedures.- Effectively serve as an adjunct clinical instructor for affiliate students and orientees.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the technology required to treat this patient population.- Take an active role in the growth and development of respiratory care procedures in neonatal intensive care settings.
- Serve as a leader by providing education, sharing knowledge, and acting as a resource at all times.- Serve as either an NRP instructor or in charge roles as needed.
Additional Comments : This is a direct hire position. It may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses. New hires into this position must complete orientation within one year of hire.
