Previous Charge RN and Teaching Hospital experience preferred. Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required). Licensure : Active RN license (pending licenses not accepted). First-time Travelers : Accepted. Holiday / Charge Shifts : Required as needed per unit. Weekend Requirement : 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (Fri / Sat / Sun combinations). Ratios Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 5 Skills Required Work Settings : MS / Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown. Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response : Dysrhythmia interpretation / management, telemetry monitoring (unit & remote), rapid response team participation. Cardiovascular : Post-Cardiac, Angiogram, Post-MI, Pre / Post Cardiac Cath, Pre / Post Cardiac Surgery. Endocrine / Metabolic : IV insulin protocols. Gastrointestinal : Feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary / Renal : Pre / Post Hemodialysis, Renal failure management. IV Therapy / Phlebotomy : Blood product administration, central line care / management, PICC line management, phlebotomy, peripheral line care / management, IV starts. Medications : Heparin protocols, management & titration of cardiac drips, PCA, procedural sedation administration. Neurological / Psychiatric : Stroke (CVA) care. Orthopedics : Peripheral nerve block catheters, total joint replacements. Plastics : Surgical drains. Respiratory : Tracheostomy management, chest tubes, external CPAP / BiPAP, HFNC, oxygen delivery systems, non-invasive airway management. Professional Skills : Isolation precautions, wound care, wound vac management. Skills Preferred IV Therapy / Phlebotomy : Port access.
