Operations Manager
Summary : This position holds responsibility for overseeing all aspects of operations activities and conversion within the organization.
Duties include meeting shipping goals, maintaining quality standards, and managing the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Defining and executing the operations strategy.
- Meeting quarterly revenue goals.
- Achieving or surpassing On-Time-Delivery (OTD) goals.
- Minimizing lead times and workflow errors.
- Designing, developing, and implementing systems to support product shipping and growth.
- Installing a quality-driven approach to operations activities.
- Ensuring effective product transfer from development to production.
- Communicating team performance and company goals effectively.
- Maintaining the Operations dashboard and conducting daily operations meetings.
- Completing assigned projects in alignment with strategic initiatives.
- Collaborating with Quality and Engineering to resolve production issues.
- Providing a quality product meeting customer expectations.
- Implementing cost reduction and efficiency programs.
- Assisting Engineering in specifying new products and vendors.
- Conducting employee training and maintaining Core Boards.
- Generating and administering performance reviews.
- Approving purchase requisitions, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions.
- Managing vacation requests and employee timesheets.
Supervisory Responsibilities : This position oversees Operations, setting priorities, objectives, and schedules.
Qualification Requirements : To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess excellent communication skills, strategic and tactical acumen, proficiency in ERP systems, problem-solving abilities, and technical / engineering competence.
Education and / or Experience : Bachelor's degree (B.S.) with a minimum of five years of supervisory / managerial experience in electromechanical manufacturing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, and experience in a job shop environment are required. Quality experience is a plus.
