Overview

FleishmanHillard is a global integrated communications agency delivering transformational outcomes for some of the world’s biggest brands.

Our Atlanta office is seeking qualified candidates for our Alfred Fleishman Diversity Fellowship. Fellows contribute to client projects and gain practical experience in the field of integrated communications from some of the industry’s best counselors.

Our ideal candidate will join us full-time 40 hours per week starting in Summer 2024. This is a hybrid role based in our Atlanta office.

The Alfred Fleishman Diversity Fellowship is an industry-leading program that offers the opportunity for individuals to combine their communication talents with their passion for diversity and inclusion.

The paid fellowships are 6 to 12 months in length and offer benefits, professional development opportunities and a mentor program.

For this session, Fellows will work closely with staff across the global social and digital practice and have the opportunity to touch many high-profile accounts in the healthcare, technology and consumer space.

There may be opportunities to engage with other practices and sectors as well.

Responsibilities

  • Assist companies in the healthcare, technology, and consumer sectors with managing and creating organic social content, navigating emerging social platforms and content management systems, researching social media trends, creating editorial plans, conductingsocial audits, assisting with community management of client platforms, and providing background research on client-specific issues.
  • Contribute to agency diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Write, edit and proofread materials in AP style, including press releases, pitch letters, fact sheets, blog posts, website content, internal communications and client correspondence.
  • Learn and use agency tools to support gathering and analyzing data and intelligence to support client and agency initiatives.
  • Monitor, research, compile and analyze client media coverage and conversation in online and offline channels.

Qualifications

  • College grad (undergraduate or graduate) with the ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, EDT , and for a minimum of six months starting in Summer 2024.
  • The ability to work in a hybrid capacity currently requiring at least 3 days per week in the Atlanta office.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms from a professional perspective (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Strong writing skills, and ability to draft short-form and long-form content for social platforms (including copy for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
  • Ability to write clear and concise recommendations for content ideas, informed by social trends or topics, data insights or other rationale.
  • Familiarity with social listening and analysis to inform social media strategy and / or content creation.
  • Experience with or ability to learn to use social media management software and other monitoring tools.
  • A demonstrated passion for ethnic or cultural diversity and experience advocating for DE&I in either the work, school or volunteer setting.
  • An eagerness to learn, curiosity to think critically and creatively, desire to problem solve and the ability to take initiative on projects and given responsibilities.
  • Previous internship, educational or equivalent work experience focused on communications, public relations, marketing or advertising.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $41,600 to $45,760.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography.
