We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing outstanding legal support and service to governmental entities throughout Texas.
Job Description : As a Paralegal at Messer Fort, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team with your exceptional organizational skills and commitment to accuracy.
This is a hybrid position which supports a Labor and Employment and Transactional practice. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail and be comfortable working
Key Responsibilities :
Labor and Employment : Draft all manner of legal documents and correspondence related to assigned matters. Assist with case management including organizing and preparing files for attorney use.
Document Preparation. Assist counsel in drafting, reviewing, finalizing, and maintaining template documents and policies for employment matters that arise (e.
g., employment policies and procedures, Severance Agreements, disciplinary and investigation procedures, associate handbooks, etc.).
- Case Management. Under the supervision of counsel, manage demand letters and administrative agency complaints, including collecting information, track and maintain project logs, deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Litigation Support. Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses and manage hearing or trial preparation to assist counsel.
Transactional : Draft all manner of transactional and governance documents, maintain physical or electronic files and project logs, facilitate client and stakeholder communication.
Document Preparation. Draft, format and edit complex documents for commercial transactions, as well as governance documents.
Facilitate client contact, track and manage project logs and reports.
- Project Management. Implement systems to track deadlines and manage documentation effectively.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance. Ensure that all work complies with legal standards and client policies. Review and verify the accuracy of information and documentation to uphold the highest standards of quality.
- Administrative Support. Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, organizing case files, and maintaining confidential information.
- Legal Research. Research corporate records and UCC searches

Requirements :
Minimum Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Comfortable with billing procedures and timekeeping software
Familiarity with PACER and Texas E-File System
Attributes :
Strong sense of responsibility and ethical standards
Ability to maintain efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to triage and prioritize appropriately for sometimes high-volume client needs
Ability to work in-person at Frisco, Texas office location
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Consistently organized and deadline conscious
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal within a governmental or public sector environment, demonstrating a solid understanding of governmental regulations and procedures.
Knowledge of federal, state and municipal labor and employments laws and practices
