QUALIFICATIONS : Required :
Required :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clear and valid Texas driver's license
- Level III Security Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in security in a K-12 industry or equivalent
Preferred
- Stop the Bleed, First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification
- Law Enforcement Certification (TCOLE)
- Texas DPS-issued valid License to Carry or ability to obtain
Special Knowledge & Skills
- Strong oral and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate personnel in completing projects
- Ability to exercise good judgment in decision making
- Ability to lead personnel through daily activities
- Ability to work under pressure in emergencies
- Ability to assist the Security Coordinator of Armed Officers
- Ability to utilize two-way radios to communicate with other officers and first responders
- Knowledge of the role of security in an educational environment
- Knowledge of report writing
- Aptitude for successful completion of assigned tasks
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Google
- Ability to work within a diverse culture
- Ability to serve as a role model for all district employees by exhibiting behavior that is ethical
