Our client, a custom manufacturer providing metal stampings, fabrication, springs, and much more, is currently seeking an experienced Quality Specialist with a background in the metal stamping industry.

Hours : 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm Monday-Friday

Salary : 60K-75K (depending on experience)

As part of the Quality department the responsibilities are to monitor and improve the quality of the operational processes and outputs. Inspect, audit, and follow all processes to print specifications and ensure good quality parts. Work with all departments to communicate effectively and meet all expectations of the customers.

Responsibilities :

  • Understand & follow company Safety policies.
  • Follow company Quality policy, procedures, and proper documentation process.
  • Practice good housekeeping based on 5S principles.
  • Review / report and distribute quality key measurements and indicators.
  • Conducts visual inspection for finished goods. Sampling calculated per AQL specifications.
  • Provide support to production with first article, in process, and end of run inspections.
  • Follow procedures to ensure company compliance.
  • Produce monthly quality reports as needed.
  • Corrective actions.
  • Proper use and care of all inspection tools and equipment.
  • Communicate with department and leaders about production about material and part complications.
  • Other duties or projects as required or assigned.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Must have CMM Experience
  • Advanced math and technical skills
  • Blueprint reading skills
  • GD&T experience
  • Basic metrology skills
  • Must be able to use handheld tools such as a calculator, micrometer, and gauges
  • Familiarity with MRP / ERP software and good computer skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Calibration experience
  • Must work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to multitask and exercise good problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Experience with blueprint and bubble graphs
