Summary

Individuals within the Robotic Process Automation Specialist role are responsible for supporting the development, operation, maintenance, and enhancement of automation systems, with a focus on robotic process automation (RPA) and DevOps practices. This role bridges development and operations by contributing to the design, coding, testing, deployment, and continuous support of automation workflows.

This Robotic Process Automation Specialist works on complex or highly visible tasks as a project team member and collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, and Architects. The role requires technical expertise in automation tools, scripting languages, and CI / CD pipeline management, as well as knowledge of IT processes and integration methodologies to adapt to evolving business environments.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and maintain automation systems, focusing on RPA bots, to ensure high performance and reliability in production BOTs & environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues, conducting root cause analyses and implementing preventative measures.
  • Design, code, and test automation workflows and scripts to meet business requirements and align with architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Architects to integrate automation solutions into the broader IT ecosystem.
  • Track and report on system performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Document development processes, system configurations, and operational workflows for future reference.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for automation tools and technologies, offering technical guidance and support to other teams.

Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Programming / Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in development, operations, or technical support in RPA and Automation technologies.
  • Skillsets and Knowledge Requirements :

  • Proficient in automation tools and technologies, including RPA platforms (Automation Anywhere) - required
  • Experience in both development (coding, testing) and operations (monitoring, troubleshooting) within automation systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset to identify and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks or similar incident and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their automation capabilities is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git) for deploying and managing automation pipelines.
  • Experience designing and implementing automation workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical or operational issues.

    Full time Salary Range $88,700 - 126,940
