Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and level I Trauma and Stroke Center .
We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services.

We are currently seeking (3) Nurse Educators / Education Specialist for our Professional Development & Organizational Learning Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provision of educational and development training services to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocols.
- Collaboration with patient care staff and unit management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula.
- Initiation of clinical skills development programs within the parameters of established clinical and preceptorship models
- Implementation of educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
- Serve as a clinical resource for unit management and team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Educate team members in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinates in-service training and workshops.
Requirements
REQUIREMENT
- Current NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Current BLS / ACLS certification.
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Administration, or Informatics
- 5 YEARS NURSING CLINICAL EXPERIENCE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SPECILAITY : Psychiatry, Med / surg and or ED.
- Minimum 1-2 years prior experience as Nurse Educator or Education Specialist
- Certification in area of specialty preferred
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and EMR, EPIC desired.
- Excellent classroom presentation / platform, communications and interpersonal skills
