We have an opportunity for an accomplished mechanical engineer to lead development and ramp for a next generation Apple product.

Key Qualifications :

Creative problem solving experienceExperience in process development / bring up and qualificationProgram / project management experienceManufacturing or supplier management experienceWorking knowledge of GD&T and Engineering Drawing InterpretationDesign of Experiments, statistical process control methods and theoryGood command of Excel and JMPKnowledge of Metrology design and Optical / Contact Measurement Equipment is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Mandarin or Korean language skills are a plus but not requiredStrong Team Player

Description :

Manufacturing Process Engineer responsibilities include : - Review and provide feedback on design / design intent of components and assemblies.

• Set standard manufacturing practices and independently determine impact to design and parameters to the final product.
• Partner with internal and external cross functional teams to evaluate design and processes at concept phase and set expectations for manufacturing processes.
• Develop new and / or improved processes for parts and assemblies through the application of theoretical and practical engineering.
• Drive corrective actions cross-functionally with internal and external team members. - Drive design experiments to prove out manufacturing processes or design iterations.
• Design for Manufacturability - Provide early and on going manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable.
• Process Engineering - Design and develop technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency - Present technical issues and updates to Apple management team and cross functional team on a frequent basis - Provide creative solutions for engineering challenges or issues related to assembly process - International travel to supplier sites, up to 30%.Internal Details
