Senior Automation Engineer, RPA - People Applications

About the Role

The Doordash People Application team is looking for an Automation Engineer with demonstrated experience and knowledge in robotic process automation (RPA) to improve both our talent acquisition and employee experience.

You will interact directly with senior leaders and cross-functional partners across DoorDash to understand requirements, design, build end-to-end solutions, and maintain the supporting services for our applications across diverse technical areas for various people functions, all in sync with our people goals.

This will be a hybrid role and you will report to the Sr Manager of People Applications.

• Conduct evaluations of current business and system procedures to identify potential areas for automation and process enhancement.
• Own the automation process end-to-end, from conception to development, deployment, and maintenance of our RPA solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design automation processes accordingly.
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to optimize processes and identify potential automation.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in RPA technology and continuously enhance technical skills.
• Develop and implement robust testing procedures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of automation solutions.
• Create comprehensive documentation for developed RPA solutions, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

We’re excited about you because you have

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in RPA development using tools such as UiPath (Highly Preferred), Microsoft Power Apps, or Automation Anywhere.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience, ideally in HR-related or Business applications
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive automated solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using common programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of design principles and programming techniques to create reusable assets
• Provide technical direction on design considerations of RPA platform components, including Bots, Orchestrators, development tools, and systems integrations, to meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, maintainability, and performance
• Familiar with continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) tools & pipelines.

• Located in either San Francisco, Sunnyvale or Seattle.
