A professional services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Auditor, with Real Estate experience, for a great Audit Manager position.
Responsibilities :
The Audit Manager will
- Oversee staff on engagement deliverables (such as financial statements, tax returns, work papers, etc.)
- Complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met;
ensure on time delivery and on budget
- Handle new client development in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentations and proposal development and meet individual cross serve
- Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projects
- Develop overall engagement budget
- Consistently meet charge hour goals
- Oversee billing and realization on assigned clients
- Participate in practice development activities that lead to the generation of new business and the opportunities for cross-serves
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of Audit experience in a Public Accounting and / or a related field
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and / or Finance
- CPA or parts passed
- Real Estate background
- Previous experience in a Supervisory role
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
