AUDIT SENIOR

Position Summary

Our client is a rapidly growing, professional accounting firm based in the San Francisco bay area with a national practice specializing in the mortgage banking and private lending sectors.

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking entrepreneurially minded individuals who have a passion for technical issues as well as building a practice to join our tax and audit departments.

What you will do :

  • Plan, prepare and manage audit, review and compilation engagements, including designing and implementing risk-based audit programs and procedures;
  • execute fieldwork and manage engagement budgets and production goals; supervise staff and review staff workpapers; provide clients with accounting and financial reporting guidance;

prepare financial statements and ensure that audit efficiency is driven into each engagement; and serve as a key client contact.

What you will have :

  • This position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline.
  • A CPA license or progression towards obtaining one is required. Requires 3-7 years of recent audit experience; ability to think through technical audit and accounting issues and competency with paperless audit systems.
  • ProSystem engagement software proficiency is preferred.
  • Other desired traits include strong technical, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, collaborate in a team environment and meet critical deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the mortgage and / or private lending industries is a plus.
