Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing various electrical distribution systems and equipment up to 480 volts.
Duties include assisting with the testing of line isolation monitors, recording results accurately on a monthly basis. The technician operates and maintains generators according to manufacturer and accrediting agency guidelines, while keeping detailed records of all testing, findings, and repairs related to life safety codes.
New electrical equipment is checked for proper operation and installed according to manufacturer specifications. Regular testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and outlets are conducted to meet regulatory standards, and all facility lighting is ensured to be in proper working order.
The technician also handles the repair of television and cabling systems, ensures compliance with electrical codes, and maintains up-to-date documentation for Preventive Maintenance tasks.
Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum of one (1) year experience in the maintenance or engineering field
Experience working in a hospital setting
National Electric Codes course completion
Knowledge of trade safety, building codes, and regulatory agencies
