We're Hiring a Director of Operations!

Location :

  • Louisville,KY  Type : Full-Time Reports To : CEO / Owner Speedwash Car Wash is looking for a dynamic Director of Operations to lead our multi site teams and keep our washes running at top speed.
  • In this role, you’ll oversee day to day operations, drive membership growth, reduce downtime, and ensure every customer gets the fast, friendly, spotless wash we’re known for.

What You’ll Do :

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high standards.
  • Lead and mentor Site Managers and Area Managers to achieve operational, financial, and team goals.
  • Focused membership growth plan, sales initiatives, and workflow optimization.
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and performance reviews.
  • Approve budgets, credit card transactions, PTO, bonuses, and damage claims.
  • Review monthly P&Ls and coach Area Managers on profitability improvements.
  • Ensure safety compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Handle escalated employee and customer issues with professionalism.
  • Partner with Area Managers to coach, train, and develop site level managers, building a strong workplace culture.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce downtime, maintain equipment, and optimize profitability.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee development in partnership with HR Travel regularly to provide hands-on support and maintain operational excellence.
  • Put the right people in the right seats to support organizational growth and success.
  • What You’ll Need :

  • 5+ years of multi-site operations management experience (car wash, retail, service, or similar industry).
  • Proven track record of leading teams, coaching managers, and building strong workplace culture.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, P&L oversight, and driving profitability.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and implement process improvements to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and align diverse teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands on environment where no two days look the same.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between sites as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field (preferred but not required) .   Who You Are :
