Product Owner

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Product Owner for our client partner. This is a hybrid position located in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities :

• Help define and deliver the product roadmap in an agile and data-driven environment focused on driving superior business outcomes for our customers for the Office of AI.
• Lead collaboratively and cross-functionally while working directly with CX / UX designers, developers, and business teams to guide products to fruition.
• Facilitate Ideation workshops to elicit ideas to improve business processes and develop business case templates with the business to support annual planning.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features based on customer needs, market analysis, and business objectives.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
• Work closely with UX to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to validate product concepts.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to ensure efficient product development and delivery.
• Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and conduct user acceptance testing.
• Regularly review and adjust the product backlog based on changing market conditions and stakeholder feedback.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to assess the product's success and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop current state / to be process flows and ensure requirement specification is aligned with industry standards.
• Project management using established PMO processes and documentation.
• Facilitate Testing, including Unit, System Integration, and User Acceptance.
• Coordinate the Production Cutover Process, Postproduction Support turnover, and business interaction to ensure a smooth production transition.
• Lead product teams through the agile process, adhering to standards, processes, and documentation put forth by a PMO.

Qualifications :

• Partner with business process owners to maintain an in-depth knowledge of business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop business requirement and business case documents along with financial justification and ROI for initiatives.
• Work with business to identify and understand issues and opportunities during the business requirement gathering stage.
• Develop as is to be process flows and coordinate Organization Change Management.
• Lead User Acceptance testing to ensure that the system addresses business needs.
• Manage multiple projects to coordinate all aspects of implementation and delivery.
• Evaluate timing of software version upgrades and facilitate migrations.
• Liaison between business users and various GTO departments.
• Assist in managing 3rd-party providers.
• 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
• Experience working on software development projects, including mobile applications, AI preferred.
• Solid understanding of information architecture and proven experience in an Agile project framework.
• Design thinking and workshop experience required.
• Experience in building Jira user stories, features, epics, and business cases.
• Expert at Miro, Jira, Jira Align.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Senior Business Analyst Role.
• Consulting and analytical skills.
• Ability to identify business process improvement opportunities.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to conduct user acceptance testing and communicate results to IT resources.
• Scaled Agile and product development certifications are a plus.
