MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician performs general and preventative maintenance of all equipment, physical structures, and landscaping in compliance with corporate / franchise standards to protect the asset, ensure optimum operations and maximize guest satisfaction.

  • SCHEDULE :

    Variable schedule; Must be available on weekends and holidays

    RATE OF PAY :

    $25.96 to $30.60 per hour / DOE

    QUALIFICATIONS : Knowledge of :

    Knowledge of :

    • Building mechanical systems and controls.
    • Electrical systems
    • Energy management

    Skills and Ability to :

    • Maintain and repair HVAC, electrical and plumbing
    • Perform carpentry, repair, and construction work
    • Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary tools and equipment

    and perform required duties

    • Successfully lead and motivate staff
    • Work independently and manage one's time to meet productivity

    Maintain a neat and clean appearance to meet hotel standards and represent the

    hotel positively

    Communicate effectively with guests and co-workers to accurately

    receive and convey information

    Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends,

    holidays and respond to emergencies after hours

    • Limited local travel may be required
    • Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency

    Education and Experience :

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Four years' experience in building maintenance or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
    • Previous experience in hospitality at a similarly sized property highly preferred.
    • Previous preventative maintenance experience preferred.

    Licenses :

    Must possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

    Heavy Work : Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and / or up to 20 lbs.
