Cisco Network Systems Engineer

Overview :

Ourclient a multinational company that designs manufactures and sellsnetworking equipment is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cisco Network SystemsEngineer to join the team.

The ideal candidate willpossess a blend of technical expertise and problemsolvingcapabilities to support and enhance our client.

This role involvesconstructing complex test environments managing networks and serverconfigurations and collaborating with international teams to ensurethe seamless operation of theirsystems.

Responsibilities :

• Constructintricate test environments tailored to meet diverse clientspecifications seamlessly integrating these setups into existinglab infrastructure and providing comprehensive maintenance andsupport throughout the equipment lifecycle.
• Install configure andtroubleshoot various operating systems including VMware(ESXi / vCenter) Windows and Linux (RHEL / CentOS UbuntuDebian).
• Install configure andtroubleshoot various networking hardware platforms includingASR5000 / 5500 chassis IOS IOS XE IOS XR NXOS and Cisco terminalservers.
• Implement and maintainActive Directory on Windows VMware and Linux usingVintela.
• Manage Cisco UCS Cseriesrack mount servers and Cisco UCS Blade Centers chassis encompassingboth servers and networkmodules.
• Construct VMware cloudenvironments establish clusters configure storage mappings networksetups virtual machines and userpermissions.
• Collaborate effectivelywith information security teams to promptly address softwarevulnerabilities and patching requirements ensuring robustcybersecurity measures.
• Maintain acomprehensive inventory of newly arrived equipment facilitatingremote users awareness of availableresources.
• Apply knowledge ofautomount and communication protocols such as NFS TFTP SSH SCP andDNS.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge ofIPv4 and IPv6 addressing and L2networking.
• Work closely with localand international test engineers to devise and implement test labstrategies that align with or surpass divisionalrequirements.
• Possess a fundamentalunderstanding of 3phase AC power usingPDUs.
• Have a solid understanding ofdifferent types of power and networkingcables.

Qualifications :

• HighSchool diploma.
• Physical ability tolift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellentattendance and work ethic.
• Stronganalytical problemsolving and organizationalskills.
• Ability to root causecomplex problems and drive proactivesolutions.
• Document best practicesand problemsolving efforts for futureimplementation.
• Strong communicationskills and the ability to work in a collaborativeenvironment.

PreferredSkills :

• Previousexperience in a similar role within the Information Technologysector.
• Certifications related tosystem administration and networkmanagement.
• Familiarity with cloudservices and virtualizationtechnologies.

Weare not considering C2C candidates for this position. This is NOT aremote or hybrid position. You must be able to work onsite MF from9 am 6pm.
