Benefits Account Manager Customer Service Representative
Overview :
Metairie, LA : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Benefits Account Manager Customer Service Representative to join our client’s team.
This position will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring their employee benefits programs are administered efficiently and effectively.
This position requires a blend of excellent customer service skills, in-depth knowledge of employee benefits, and the ability to resolve issues and inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Essential Duties :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client accounts, fostering strong relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and support.
- Manage and oversee client accounts, including enrollment procedures, plan modifications, and benefits administration.
- Conduct regular client meetings and reviews to ensure client satisfaction and discuss potential adjustments to benefits packages.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and vendors to address issues related to claims, billing, and coverage.
- Keep clients informed about new products, services, and industry trends impacting their benefits.
- Provide guidance to clients on benefits plan options, regulatory compliance, and best practices in benefits administration.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and analyses on benefits plan performance and utilization.
- Assist in developing and implementing client-specific communication strategies to improve employee engagement with benefits.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to privacy laws and company policies.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on industry changes and advancements.
Requirements / Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service or account management, ideally within the insurance or employee benefits industry.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to provide solutions aligning with client and company needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with benefits administration software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
- Current Life and Health Insurance License, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
Physical Requirements :
This position typically requires sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
