The Division of Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University seeks a board-certified or eligible Breast Medical Oncologist as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in the University Medical Line (UML).
An early or mid-career physician scientist is preferred. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Major Criteria for Appointment
The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
Position Summary
The Breast Oncology group seeks a faculty member to establish new clinical, translational, or population science / health policy research collaborations and to conduct clinical or clinical / translational trials focused on breast malignancies.
He / she should have an MD or MD / PhD and be board certified or eligible in medical oncology.
Qualifications
- The candidate should have training as an investigator with a track record of research funding and a strong publication record, or for assistant professor appointment, the potential to become successful in obtaining research funding and actively publish in high impact journals.
- The candidate will teach fellows and other trainees and participate in the Oncology clinics and accompanying tumor board.

Compensation
The expected base pay range for this position is :
- Assistant Professor : $234,000 - $269,000
- Associate Professor : $282,000 - $338,000
- Professor : $356,000 - $375,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine's faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position.
The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline;
internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
