About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Tech Job Specialty : OR Tech (Operating Room) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 10-hour nights, 8 : 00 PM - 6 : 30 AM, Monday to Thursday, call included, First to Float Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Not required for submission Certifications : BLS, COVID Vaccine Certification required Must-Have : Strong experience with total joints, general, vascular, & spine Job Description : Work in the Operating Room with a 1 : 1 ratio- Utilize Cerner Surginet EMR system- Report to the Clinical Supervisor and coordinate with the OR Director & OR Manager- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage through call- Be on-call for 1-2 weeknights per week and approximately 1 weekend per month- Wear hospital-provided scrubs- Work with Phillips Telemetry and hospital-provided ventilators- Engage in common surgical cases, excluding transplants, including CABG, valve operations, pacemaker insertions, lead extractions, lung surgeries, orthopedic, general / vascular, neuro / spine, ENT, and trauma surgeries- Complete one shift orientation with a preceptor- Provide care in an Acute Division, Trauma Level 2 setting- Be aware that the hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract, with potential full hour payment in lieu of cancellationThis position offers a dynamic environment for skilled surgical techs ready to float as needed and excel in a variety of OR scenarios.
