The Section of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU SOM) is seeking a BC / BE pediatric neurosurgeon for a faculty position to be located at Children’s Hospital Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus , in Aurora Colorado, just east of Denver.
The candidate must be thoroughly trained and experienced in pediatric neurosurgery and qualify for appointment at the Assistant Professor rank or higher in the CU SOM.
The successful candidate’s primary role will be on the Anschutz Medical Campus, although there may be some opportunity to work at Network of Care sites in the Denver Metro area or occasionally at Children’s Hospital Colorado - Colorado Springs.
The candidate will be fully incorporated into the division of pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Children’s Hospital Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is an academic 450 bed Pediatric Level 1 trauma center, associated with the University of Colorado Department of Neurosurgery and its residency program.
Primary responsibilities at the Anschutz Medical Campus will include outpatient clinical evaluation and management of patients with pediatric neurosurgical disease, and performance of neurosurgery procedures.
There will be on-call responsibility at the Anschutz Campus in a roughly 1 : 5 cadence.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, education and teaching of medical students, pediatric neurosurgery fellows, and others will be an important responsibility.
The successful candidate will have excellent teaching and education skills, and excellent communication and team skills.
The candidate will have completed fellowship in good standing in Pediatric Neurosurgery at an ABPNS-approved fellowship program (or equivalent), MD (or equivalent) degree and be American Board of Neurological Surgery Certified / Eligible.
The candidate will join 4 other MD providers, 8 Advanced Practice Providers and 2 RNs at the Anschutz Medical Campus, as well as 2 other MD providers, 1 Advanced Practice Provider and 1 RN at our Colorado Springs location.
The successful candidate will join an expanding group of collaborative, dedicated pediatric neurosurgeons at one of the top 10 Children’s Hospitals in the United States ().

Key Responsibilities :
- Patient care in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) Anschutz Medical Campus with 1 : 5 rotating call schedule and regular outpatient and operating time each week.
- Elective neurosurgical procedures.
- Outpatient clinic in general pediatric neurosurgery with sub specialization based on the skills and interests of the successful candidate and needs of the practice.
- Education and teaching of neurosurgery residents, pediatric neurosurgery fellows, students, advanced practice providers and others.
- Attend daily clinical rounds (7 : 00 am) and relevant conferences in person or via digital platforms.
