Bentley Truck Service Is Hiring A Lead Diesel Technician For Our Philadelphia, PA Location
Earn $25-$40 Per Hour (Dependent Upon Experience) - Full Benefits
Summary :
Opportunity to use exceptional skills and knowledge to support overall business goals while mentoring and developing other technicians.
Will work closely with the management team to provide insight into overall shop operations.
Benefits :Responsibilities :
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Work with the management team to help assign proper techs to complete tasks.
- Participate in and complete Manufacturing training to obtain certifications.
- Help ensure staff is working safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Provide input on Technicians' development.
- Perform repairs as needed.
- Mentor technicians to guide them to enhance their overall development.
- Update customers on the status of repairs and maintenance.
Skills and Abilities :
- Work on trucks, climbing into and out of them, crawling under to make repairs.
- Work on emissions systems
- Demonstrate decent wiring knowledge
- Work safely and promote safety in the workplace.
- Teach less seasoned technicians.
- Stand for long periods.
- Use PC to update work order status and explain maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain quality work orders and checklists.
- Explain verbally and in written form the status of work orders.
- Keep management aware of any concerns on the floor.
- Provide dependable / consistent results.
Requirements :
- Strong mechanical, and electrical experience.
- Refrigeration unit experience is a plus.
- CDL B, or willingness to obtain, is a plus (we will assist).
- State Inspection License, a plus
- ASE Certification REQUIRED
