Student Housing provides housing for approximately 9,000 undergraduates, graduate students and their families in over 250 buildings and approximately 3.

3 million sq. ft. Currently, Student Housing houses 45% of UCI's enrolled students (in conjunction with American Campus Communities, UCI's 3rd party housing partner) with a goal of housing 60% as part of the campus Long Range Development Plan (LRDP).

Student Housing also provides maintenance and repair services to student residents. The Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Analysis uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures;

researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Provides vision, leadership, and oversees strategic initiatives including modeling housing feasibility, and managing the Graduate Guarantee Housing Program.

Provides logistical and analytical coordination for all strategic initiatives involving Graduate and Family Housing residents to support decision making.

Provides direct service, support, and referral in response to individual or community concerns. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation.

This position is a vital part of UC Irvine's effort to provide a Housing Guarantee to incoming Graduate students and families.

These efforts are key to the recruitment of graduate students. Responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, and assessment of complex programs and services.

Develop strategies to improve current programmatic efforts. Provides support to residents in crisis. Responds to questions, suggestions, and complaints.

Serve as a member of the Graduate and Family Housing and Student Housing Emergency Response Team. Under the general direction of the Senior Director for Graduate and Family Housing, the Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Analysis serves as a member of the Graduate and Family Housing Leadership Team and collaborates with Graduate Division and Housing Administrative Services to manage the Graduate Housing Guarantee and support students.

The Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Analysis leads and collaborates with other managers to establish strategic plans and objectives affecting Student Housing across the organization.

This includes developing shared priorities and advancing goals in support of student enrollment / retention, development, and inclusive excellence.

Advanced knowledge of risk assessment principles along with the ability to evaluate risks and the likelihood of consequences.

Demonstrated skill in program planning, implementation, administration, and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to provide workshops to enhance the leadership capabilities of the student population.

Preferred : Demonstrated knowledge of FERPA, Clery Act, Title IX, and other laws critical to support student success and basic needs.

Experience using excel databases and tracking metrics for large complex organizations. Special Conditions Required : Must pass a background check and DMV clearance required.
