Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list.
Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55b / c service in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.
1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to : Office Assistant 2, Office Assistant 2 Calculations, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding.
Individuals certified eligible for the 55b / c program under the Governor’s Program to Hire Persons / Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55b / c of the Civil Service Law will also be considered.

Candidates must have a High school diploma or GED AND one year of full-time general office experience*.
- Qualifying experience : For the purposes of this examination, general office experience includes tasks such as preparing correspondence, reports, statements and other material;
- operating office equipment; answering telephones; verifying, recording and processing forms and documents such as contracts and requisitions;
and performing general clerical duties according to established procedures.
Duties Description Duties of this position include, but are not limited to : analyze documents to determine if they contain criteria to warrant assembly or indexing of a new case.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Law, rules, regulations and Oracle procedures and the ability to utilize CIS, IC2 and other applications;
- process work assigned in CIS work queue accurately and in a timely manner, including entering new case information into the Case Assembly tab;
ascertain or verify employer coverage; respond to stakeholders’ inquiries to provide and process information effectively addressing their issues or concerns.
