Job Summary
Working within a learning college environment, this position provides front line customer service to students and staff by collecting payments, balancing daily collections and inputting information into a computer information system.

Essential Functions
60% - Assist students via phone and in person with student account inquiries, tuition and fee payments, payment plans, third party authorizations, tuition waivers, due dates, financial aid disbursements and student ID’s.
15% - Assist staff with petty cash, departmental deposits, and disbursements of payroll checks. Maintain daily cash drawer and reconcile cash, credit card and check transactions.
15% - Participates in student outreach efforts by contacting and responding to students regarding refunds, tuition due dates, and outstanding balances via incoming / outgoing telephone calls
10% - Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Customer service experience
- Cash handling experience in a business setting
- Experience using Microsoft Office or similar software
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years or more experience in customer service
- Experience using an online student information system
- Experience working in higher education
- Experience serving a diverse group of people
- Knowledge of the philosophy and principles of a Learning College
Special Working Conditions
- May require prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged viewing of a CRT screen.
- May be required to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the Department.
