Cloud Engineer (USAF Cloud One) - Various Level & Locations

Leidos is pursuing the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract, and currently has several openings for various levels of across AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle clouds.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience help modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.

Location :

These positions will be hybrid remote. Candidates may be required to work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will be located near Gunter AFB (Montgomery, AL), Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA), Andrews AFB (D.

C. Metro Area) Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, or Joint Base Charleston, SC. If any of these locations interest you, please consider applying.

Primary Responsibilities Could Include :

• Manage and optimize AWS, Azure, Google, and / or Oracle environments, networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, and SQL systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems.
• Drive the stability and sustainability of cloud-based networks, software systems.
• Identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes.
• Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues.
• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for different cloud-based platforms.
• Assists in design / architecture of pure cloud and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Identify implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.
• Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering a learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors and two (2) years or more of experience; Masters and zero (0) years or more of experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment
• US citizenship required
• Certifications : CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1
• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture
• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle clouds

Pay Range :

Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
