About The Position
- Job Title : Certified Surgical Technician - CVOR Job Specialty : Surgical Services Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-Hour Variable Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience;
- Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred License : Not specified Certifications : - BLS - CST (preferred) - Graduation from an accredited school Must-Have : Willingness to accept first-time travelers;
candidates must reside over 100 miles from the facility Job Description : Work in a facility with 2 operating rooms, 20 pre-op bays, and 14 PACU bays.
- Assist with cardio and thoracic surgeries including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases, generator exchanges, lead extractions, fem-pop bypass, open vascular cases, AAA, and carotids.
- Collaborate with a support team including Surgery RN / First Assist, Surg Tech, Nurse Clinician, CRN, Service Line Lead, HUC, Scheduler, and Preference Card Analyst.
- Participate in a 2 Tech Model; both scrubbed in both setup and do draping, with one tech as the primary and the other for support.
- Potential for floating to Main OR and Central Sterile Processing.- Operate with charting system / equipment like EPIC, Omnicell, and Alaris.
- Undertake one overnight on-call duty per week (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and every third weekend on a rotational basis. Additional Notes : 5 days (8 hours each) of orientation for Certified Surgical Technologists.
- Opportunity for 8 or 10-hour shifts to be determined during the interview process.- Sleep room available in Pre-Op / PACU area.
- Potential to work during holidays.- Provided with scrubs. Please reach out to the manager for approval of time off and verify details.
