Job Title : Production Supervisor
Salary Range : Starting Salary : 85k-95k annually
Schedule : 1st Shift
Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for driving operational excellence in the manufacturing industry? My client is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in orchestrating production schedules, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Duties :
- Schedule production and qualifications for assigned departments, meticulously designing room schedules based on demand and constraints.
- Proactively react to changes in scheduling, whether due to shifts in demand or resources, ensuring seamless production flow.
- Drive changeover improvement plans and meticulously track performance metrics to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor job processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and filling out paperwork accurately and comprehensively.
- Manage personnel effectively, deploying consistent policies in areas such as safety, absenteeism, interviewing, termination, and operator discipline.
- Oversee hourly timekeeping approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support lean initiatives and workshops on the plant floor, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular quality audits to maintain standards of excellence.
- Lead walkabout processes for assigned areas, ensuring visual boards are maintained and task trackers are up to date.
Skills / Technical Skills :
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Six Sigma or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of driving performance improvements.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and email systems.
- Working knowledge of MRP systems, with the ability to navigate and utilize data effectively.
Experience :
At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results.
