Amerilab Technologies is a growing and leading US manufacturer in the development, manufacturing, and packaging of effervescent tablets, and effervescent and non-effervescent powders in stick packs and sachets, and we are currently seeking skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team.
Schedule :
Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm
The HVAC Technician is responsible for service, maintenance, repair, installation, and inspections on Amerilab’s HVAC equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Your responsibilities will include :
Installs, inspects, tests, and repairs HVACR equipment throughout facilities to ensure proper HVAC / Refrigeration operation in accordance with established procedures and according to code.
This includes but is not limited to heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, etc.
- Installs, inspects and repairs DHUs throughout the facilities.
- Performs preventive maintenance and testing on HVACR equipment throughout the facilities.
- Performs daily checks on boiler system 15 psi or less.
- Coordinates and / or directs outside contractors (scheduled and unscheduled) working on equipment, systems, grounds or building structure.
- Commissioning of new ventilation and HVAC equipment
- Repair, replace and trouble-shoot existing HVAC equipment
- Develop and maintain service schedule
- Prepare and submit job reports on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as required to maintain the facilities and grounds.

Safety Protocol :
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications :
Education / Experience / Certifications :
- Associates Degree or equivalent in related trade (e.g. HVAC)
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial, industrial, and / or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
- Three years’ experience in HVAC and / or building equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Minimum special engineer boiler license preferred or ability to acquire.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Requires Mechanical Journeyman status
- Valid Red Seal Refrigeration and A / C certification
- Valid ODS certification
- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing
- Equivalent combination of education and / or experience may be considered.
Skills Required :
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand-held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to read commercial wiring schematics
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and use power and hand tools
- Work in outside conditions and in tight spaces (inside RTU)
- Use of ladders for roof access
- Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision.
- Ability to work on cross functional teams and independently as necessary.
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Capable of interaction at all levels of the organization
