Position Summary :

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacist, Part Time (benefits eligible) - Clinical Trials - Mineola.

In this role, the successful candidate Direct Reports : Responsible for all aspects involved with the handling of investigational drugs and the management of investigational drug protocols and studies.

Job Responsibilities :

Screen all investigational drug orders and assure that these drugs are being dispensed in accordance with an IRB-approved protocol and are being prescribed by an approved investigator.

Maintain accurate and complete inventories and disposition records for all investigational drugs, including outpatient and inpatient dispensing records and prescriptions.

Maintain proper storage of study medications.

• Performs other duties as assigned
• Process all the necessary paperwork, prepare, dispense and label all investigational drug doses while on duty. Provide necessary patient counseling.

Prepare a monthly statistics report regarding the amount of time spent on each protocol, and forwarding it to the Director.

Maintain complete information (ie : pharmacology, toxicology, safe handling, proper disposal) about all investigational drugs which have, or had, active protocols in use at WUH.

Communicate, in written and verbal form, to the staff about all IRB-approved protocols, including study criteria, procedures for assigning patients and dispensing and labeling drug.

Minimum Qualifications :

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy. Current and valid NYS License and registration to practice the profession of Pharmacy.

1 - 2 years Hospital experience preferred with experience in investigational drug handling. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, and record keeping skills.

Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $57.05 - $85.21 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
