Position is located at Adair Acute Care at Osawatomie State Hospital, days / hours may vary. This position may require you to work weekends.
A negative drug screen is required as a condition of employment.

The purpose of the MHDDT position is to provide basic care to patients to enable them to meet their daily living needs, i.
e. : assist with personal and oral hygiene, care of clothing, room care and special incontinent patients. Encourage proper nutrition and other assistance as needed through observation and documentation of patient outcomes in the Patient Care System.
The essential functions of this position require physical strength to frequently push, pull, twist, bend, squat, walk, stand for extended periods of time, lift and / or restrain residents with or without assistance and respond to aggressive resident behavior with specific, trained techniques.
Must be able to observe and respond to residents in distress.
Osawatomie State Hospital Adair Acute Care is funded in part by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is subject to requirements bestowed by Federal and State levels of government conditions of participation.
Qualifications : Positions in this class require that at the time of appointment the selected candidate must take and pass a drug screening test approved by the Division of Personnel Services.
Persons hired must also pass a law enforcement security clearance in compliance with policies of the Department of Aging and DisabilityServices.
Preferred Qualifications : High School Diploma or Equivalency, Valid Driver’s License, and Previous Experience with Patients.
