Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead and guide our scrum teams in Dallas, TX . The Scrum Master's primary responsibilities will include ensuring that development teams adhere to scrum framework standards and agile practices, mentoring and motivating teams to enhance their processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making, and removing obstacles that impede progress.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agile practices and the ability to effectively coach and guide development teams.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to foster self-organizing teams that are flexible and productive during sprints.
Role and Responsibilities
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following competencies and fulfill essential duties :
- Manage project scope and timelines effectively.
- Coordinate sprints , retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
- Coach team members in Agile frameworks to enhance their skills.
- Facilitate internal communication and promote effective collaboration.
- Collaborate with product owners to manage backlogs and new requests.
- Resolve conflicts and eliminate obstacles that arise.
- Assist teams in implementing changes effectively.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint.
- Guide development teams towards higher scrum maturity.
- Foster a productive environment where team members take ownership of the product and enjoy their work.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Familiarity with software development processes.
- Exceptional knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (e.g., definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
- Good understanding of other Agile frameworks (e.g., Crystal, XP).
- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills .
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities .
- Outstanding organizational skills .
- Degree in Computer Science, Business , or a related field.
- Scrum Master certification .
- Experience in full stack development using SQL, REST Services, C# .NET Core, Bootstrap, and Vue.js on MS Azure.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, employees are required to sit, stand, and walk around, including using stairs.
