A company is looking for a DE / SAR Mortgage Underwriter for a remote position.Key Responsibilities : Responsible for underwriting FHA, VA, and conventional mortgage loan applications according to agency and lender guidelinesAssess borrower's ability to repay and validate employment, income, credit, assets, and collateralMaintain knowledge of agency and investor underwriting guidelines and provide high-quality customer serviceRequired Qualifications : Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years' experience in the mortgage / finance industryFHA Direct Endorsement Certification and VA SAR required5-7 years' underwriting experience with comprehensive knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelinesProficiency in reviewing and analyzing individual and business income tax returnsExperience with automated underwriting software
