Registered Veterinary Technician

Started in 1998 by Dr. Yves Galea, Sepulveda Animal Hospital has been servicing the needs of pets and people of West Los Angeles for over 20 years.

Back when we were founded, Dr. Galea dreamed of building a community to serve and heal our four-legged friends, a place where pets would be cared for with the same love he had for his own pets.

Since our opening, Sepulveda Animal hospital has expanded with new doctors, new staff members, and even a new building; but our goals, mission, and quality of care remain the same.

We are seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team and help ensure we are providing those great experiences.

Position Skills :

• Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
• Laboratory procedures including but not limited to : hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
• Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
• Nursing skills including : restraining patients, administering medications PO / IV / SUBQ / IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
• Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements :

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology

Pay range of $25.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience.
