Certified Surgical Technician is needed for a busy hospital system in Charleston, South Carolina. Sign On Bonus and / or Relocation assistance being offered in this position.

The ideal candidate will be a Certified Surgical Technician or Registered Nurse with experience in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.

This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, aseptic techniques, and experience in various medical settings.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery
• Set up surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist the surgical team during procedures
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical process
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly
• Perform pre and post-operative duties as needed

Requirements :

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist and 2 years of surgical work experience or Active Registered Nurse licensure and 2 years of surgical work experience
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control practices
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
• Experience working in an OR, Level II Trauma Center, or acute care setting
• Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
• Pediatric surgical experience is a plus
• Strong analytical skills to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions

Sign on bonus is being offered as well as relocation.
