Adelphi is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to perform duties at a school district in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited CNA training program.
• Valid North Carolina CNA certification certificate
• 6 months to 1 year of experience working as a CNA, preferably with children, in a school or pediatric setting.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with basic nursing tasks, including monitoring and reporting on students’ physical health.
• Support students in daily health-related activities as outlined in their IEP.
• Assist nursing staff with health evaluations to determine students' eligibility for special education services.
• AHelp ensure that students’ physical health needs are addressed in the classroom and that programs comply with IDEA requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with the completion of required documentation in compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings as needed, providing support to nursing staff and educators.
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents, teachers, and other members of the health care team to ensure the well-being of the students.
