Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician
Description :
As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, Following USP 797 and company policies and cleaning daily, packaging and pulling medications and supplies, Utilizing Fedex to send deliveries, ordering supplies, assisting with stocking shelves, assisting with monthly inventory tasks and various other tasks in the warehouse on select days of the week.
You will also be speaking to patients, scheduling deliveries and refilling prescriptions several days per week as a pharmacy technician for our Acute / Chronic teams.
You’ll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details / clinical information.
It’s a fast paced, high volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes lifesaving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.
Schedule : Monday Friday, will work an 8-hour shift between the business hours of 8 : 30am 5 : 30pm
Primary Responsibilities :
Calling patients and scheduling deliveries weekly
Following USP 797 and company policies for compounding and cleaning daily
Packaging and pulling medications and supplies
Assisting with stocking shelves
Assisting with monthly inventory tasks
- Speaking to patients, scheduling deliveries and refill prescriptions weekly
- Packing and sending patient deliveries via Fedex
- Placing orders and assisting in inventory management
- May need to stock medications and supplies as needed
- May need to assist with labeling and organizing medications and supplies as needed
- May need to lift up to 30 lbs. continuously as needed
- May include other duties as assigned by the PIC
Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience in retail or other pharmacy
Preferred Qualifications :
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- 1 year of Home Infusion experience Sterile Compounding
