The Activity Therapist is a key member of the Valley Behavioral Health activity therapy team.

The Activity Therapist plans activities to meet the specific needs of the patient population. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Music, or Recreation Therapy, or related therapeutic discipline;

or a Master’s degree in Art Therapy or Occupational Therapy One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Certification or licensure by state and / or national governing body in of the following areas : Art, Recreation, or Music Therapy, or the ability to obtain licensure or certification within the first 6 months of employment.

Successful completion of CPR Certification prior to hire May be required to work overtime and flexible hours Successful completion of CPR Certification prior to hire Valley Hospital is a -bed psychiatric hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona.
