Business Analyst (Data Governance)

Position : Business Analyst (Data Governance)

Location : Miami, FL or Charlotte, NC (REMOTE)

Summary :

• The Business Analyst will work closely with business units and IT teams to ensure data integrity and compliance on Data Governance initiatives
• The ideal candidate will have a background in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics
• Must have experience with using MS Excel for exploring and analyzing data
• Must have experience with collecting, analyzing, and documenting user requirements
• This position is Remote, with occasional travel to Miami, FL or Charlotte, NC

Key Responsibilities :

• Support the Development team in writing Epics, Themes, and User Stories for building business requirements pertaining to Data Governance initiatives
• Elicit and collaborate with Business Stakeholders to define business processes, improvements, and business objectives with a focus on system capabilities and integration points
• Analyze current needs, anticipate future needs, and collaborate in solutions integrating various business operations
• Ability to listen emphatically to clients and create solutions to exceed their expectations
• Work with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
• Create and present solution proposals

Qualifications :

• 3+ years of hands-on expertise being a Business Analyst
• 2+ years of mastery in MS Excel for exploring and analyzing data
• 2+ years of experience with collecting, analyzing, and documenting user requirements
• Strong business acumen, with analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand how decisions impact timelines and budget
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; equivalent real-world work experience will be considered
• Agile / Scrum Certifications are preferred
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development practices and Release Management is preferred
• Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics is preferred
