We have recently started to grow into the grocery sales channel and can now be found in stores like The Fresh Market, Mariano’s, and Fresh Thyme.

The Spice House is looking for a Fulfillment Supervisor (Grocery, Retail & Special Projects) who will lead the execution of distribution into our wholesale grocery channels, bulk wholesale and gift boxes.

This individual will organize and lead a team, while also being hands on and able to jump in wherever is needed. This is a growing channel with new customers so the ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

This is an on-site role at our Elk Grove Village, IL manufacturing and distribution center.

Responsibilities :

Project manage and lead a dedicated fulfillment team that picks, packs and distributes all wholesale and grocery orders.

Ensure all orders are delivered on time and in full.

• Send daily and weekly recaps to cross functional teams on the status of each order. Identify, communicate, and solve any issues as they arise.
• Coordinate and communicate internally with all relevant departments including wholesale account managers, production, and fulfillment teams on the process flow for all wholesale orders.
• Document existing processes and work to create more efficiencies for us to scale wholesale business.
• Prepare final customer orders for shipment and work with other teams (wholesale, inventory, fulfillment, etc.) to finalize shipping documents for the customer, scheduling customer pickups and / or freight shipments as needed.
• Plan and execute all gift box building for both web customers and corporate accounts.
• Work with the floor manager to coordinate any custom blends and grinds. Ensure that the correct labels are printed and utilized for the case packs and master case packs.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of unique, special orders and ensure this information is translated to the team to eliminate any potential for rework.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
• Lead ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements :

• Minimum 5+ years in fulfillment, distribution, warehouse, logistics or related fields with at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as manage and perform multiple tasks
• Ability to lead and direct others
• Must be able to follow and enforce all Spice House general work rules, policies, procedures, safety rules, guidelines and GMP’s
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs and stand for long periods of time

Reports To : Fulfillment Center Manager

Position Type : This is a salaried, exempt, full time position. Scheduled shift is onsite Monday-Friday 7am to 3 : 30pm.
