Northrop Grumman is seeking Structural Engineers . This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Redondo Beach, CA .

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grummans Vehicle and Software Engineering Directorate.

Roles and Responsibilities : ?

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
• Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and / or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and / or machines.

Basic Qualifications :

This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2. Basic qualifications for a Structural Engineer 1 are a Bachelors Degree.

Basic qualifications for a Structural Engineer 2 are a Masters Degree.

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must :

• Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD) from an accredited institution
• Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications :

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 / 4.0 or higher

Salary Range : $72,100 - $108,100

Salary Range 2 : $87,200 - $130,800

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
