About The Position

We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant for a 260-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Nov 3, 2025. This opportunity features day shifts, Monday through Friday, in an outpatient setting, providing both new patient consultations and follow-up care as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

  • Provider Type Needed : Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, either 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM or 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Function independently within a team environment to deliver comprehensive outpatient hematology / oncology care
  • Manage both new patient consultations and follow-up appointments
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and symptom management
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in electronic medical records
  • Additional Information

  • At least one year of hematology / oncology experience is preferred, but strong candidates with a passion for the field will be considered
  • Must hold a valid and unrestricted California PA license
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current National Board Certification (PA-C)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Furnishing license required
  • DEA license must be obtained within 3 months of starting
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently
