Domestic (FTL / LTL) & International (Air and Ocean) Freight Sales
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter to join our team and expand our less-than-truckload and international air and ocean service sales.
No territorial restrictions. No limit to earnings. We are a top 100 third party logistics provider with our domestic HQ in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and our international HQ in Orlando, Florida.
This is a remote position reporting in to the division CEO weekly. This is not an unsupervised retirement gig. Hunters only need apply.
Applicants carrying a book of business will be given priority and a commensurate salary plus commission. No sunset on commissions but continuous growth is expected.
Responsibilities :
- Communicate with clients to understand their shipping needs, provide quotes, and help throughout the transportation process
- Market end-to-end freight-forwarding services inclusive of air and ocean, import, export and domestic services
- Create and deliver sales proposals to key prospects and clients
- Obtain and maintain complete and accurate information on prospective clients in CRM, Hubspot knowledge a plus
- Demonstrate effective negotiation and closing techniques in securing profitable business across all products
- Clearly communicate the development of potential business throughout the sales cycle
- Report sales activity on a weekly basis to management
- Identify opportunities to expand the client base and grow the business, actively seeking out new clients by cold calling and e-mails daily
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions to meet their requirements.
Qualifications :
- Five years freight forwarding sales experience required.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Strong knowledge of FTL, LTL, airline and steamship line vendors and lanes.
- Good domestic and international geographic knowledge.
- Excellent work ethic, able to push through rejection and maintain good call volume.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to consult with the client to find appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet sales quotas and achieve business objectives.
- Proven success in gaining new business through prospecting
- Good presentation and business writing skills
- Solid verbal communication and an aggressive drive as well as commitment to develop and grow a client base
- Self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm
- Experience in using PowerPoint and Teams for presentations
Education Requirements : High School Diploma required.
Base Salary : $60,000 - $150,000+, depending on experience
