Head Start Program Aide – Fond du Lac

ADVOCAP’s Head Start program is accepting applications for a Program Aide for our 2024 / 2025 program year! Head Start prepares children ages 3-5 with quality early childhood education in Fond du Lac and Green Lake counties.
We help families reach financial, career, and educational goals, while building resilience and confidence for the entire family.
This position will need to have a welcoming and friendly personality to ensure comfortability in working with kids and families that align with our core mission and values for all employees.RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist in monitoring child health and safety
- In consultation with the supervisor and teacher implement behavior management strategies to ensure compliance
- Ensure compliance with all bus monitoring expectations
- Act as bus monitor on assigned routes
- Ensure compliance requirements for meal / snack service
- Engage with assigned children and families
- Be available to work early morning and later evening hours and occasional Fridays and weekends
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- An Early Childhood course is required to be completed within 6 months of hire; or related equivalent at the time of hire
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule of possibly varying duties at various locations in the Fond du Lac area
- Have reliable transportation
- CPR certified or willing to obtain
- Physical / TB / drug screen and comprehensive background check required
- Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic
SALARY & BENEFITS
This part-time position will begin mid to late August and will work 28 hours per week, Monday Thursday with occasional Fridays and weekends.
Starting pay is $13.74 per hour. These positions are for the program year, with summers off. Benefits include vacation, sick and holiday pay, and retirement / 401k option.
