Project Manager - Civil Construction

  • Salary Range : $110,000 - $152,000 + Robust Benefits Package
  • Location : Fort Collins
  • Schedule : M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

How you'll spend your time as a Project Manager - Civil Construction :

  • On-site and off-site project management.
  • Communicate with internal team, GC PMs, and clients.
  • Design, implement, manage, and supervise project controls (cost, schedule, quality).
  • Develop and manage construction cost forecasts including cash flow analysis for various construction delivery models and strategies.
  • Perform internal and external job cost analysis on project budgets.
  • Perform project schedule analysis using Microsoft Project and other project management software to track critical path, monitor float, and project progress.
  • Prepare for and manage weekly project progress meetings.
  • Create, review, edit and distribute meeting minutes and supporting project documentation.
  • Develop and manage construction quality control and assurance programs.
  • Perform and oversee construction inspection / observation efforts.
  • Write, develop, and distribute monthly dashboard reports.
  • Manage the overall contract administration of various project types (GMP, Unit Price, Cost Plus, etc.) including development, review, and approval of pay applications, change orders, field orders and change directives.
  • Manage overall project closeout and commissioning activities including punch list, completion certificates, warranties, start-up and testing, early project operations, and final payment procedures.
  • Ensure accurate record drawings and as-built documentation are maintained throughout project delivery.
  • Perform field layout verification, and construction-grade surveying and advise senior management on quality issues.
  • Verify material and equipment received is compliant with approval submittals and shop drawings prior to incorporation into the work.
  • Review material test reports for compliance to specifications.
  • Work with outside agencies and consultants to resolve nonconforming work.
  • Write nonconformance reports and verify execution of remediation activities.
  • Develop and prepare project invoicing, completing timely reviews, and accurate reporting of project costs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal team.

Skills & experience we'd like you to have as a Project Manager - Civil Construction :

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • 8+ years of construction management experience, including civil, utilities, roadway, or site development.
  • PE, CCM, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Willingness to jump in and help team however needed to get the job done.
  • Curious mindset with a passion for the industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and all construction delivery methods.
