MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

West Cecil Health Center (WCHC) is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist - Behavioral Health to join our team in our Conowingo office.

WCHC is a thriving nonprofit, community health organization that provides comprehensive and collaborative patient centered healthcare services.

As a Medical Receptionist - Behavioral Health, you will support our amazing care team by : Greeting all visitors and clients, direct to appropriate location, register patients, collect fees, check out patients, schedule appointments, process telephone calls, and provide information in a courteous and helpful manner. Bilingual is a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Greets all persons and in a courteous, polite and helpful manner.

Provides efficient and professional telephone and FAX services, processing messages promptly.

Respects and maintains privacy and patient confidentiality at all times.

Registers patients according to WCHC protocol.

Determines the financial status of patients. Copies insurance cards and verifies benefits information. Collects any fees or deductibles needed.

Obtain Authorizations and referrals for visits and medications.

Maintain medication samples.

Obtain medical history and input into EMR

Input and manage prescription requests, phone messages, and buckets in EMR

Schedule and confirm appointments.

Maintains and reports statistics as required.

Maintains office supplies needed for behavioral health department.

Assist patients with case management.

Maintains area in neat and orderly condition.

Participates in staff and educational meetings.
