Works independently with minimal supervision and instruction. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc. and Adobe). Has a team-player attitude and is reliable. Associate or Bachelor's degree. The hourly range in California for this role is $25.00 - $40.00 and represents the firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidates experience, qualifications and location.
Insurance defense litigation firm is seeking a highly motivated full-time personal injury litigation paralegal. The successful applicant must be able to draft and respond to discovery; summarize and analyze medical records, discovery responses, deposition transcripts, and demands; prepare case / claim analysis reports; and interact with clients in a deadline-oriented environment. Prior experience in motion work is not a requirement.
Responsibilities include :
- Draft pleadings, discovery, medical and discovery summaries, demands and other legal documents.
- Draft discovery motions, oppositions, and reply’s
- Coordinate, assemble and prepare documents for production and proceedings.
- Investigating facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare case analysis reports and determine causes of action.
- Communicate with clients, when necessary.
- Work in a team-based structure.
