Construction Product Specialist & Trainer

Location- Remote

The key purpose of this position is to serve as the main point of contact for training and product support for Construction Division products (ie.

Not limited to Rack & Pinion equipment, systems, and technical expertise). This position's responsibility includes training for new and current fleet owners, and customers by using a variety of standardized instructional techniques and formats.

This role provides guidance to clients and employees and supports their understanding of Construction equipment and Alimak Group's commitment to safe and quality services and solutions.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with customer, global and local training requirements.
  • Develop and conduct required Rack & Pinion Solutions (and additional products, as required) training programs for employees and Customers.
  • Serve as a resource to answer employee questions regarding training needs and programs.
  • Develop, customize, lead, and implement online learning curriculum.
  • Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills; develop alternative training methods as required.
  • Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities for program effectiveness.
  • Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and course materials such as online training, handouts, and visual materials.
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats.
  • Evaluate training materials regularly to ensure training is current and meets internal and external requirements.
  • Responsible for internal and external partners and suppliers, along with training and development budgets related to specific initiatives.
  • Support client base with technical help via phone and some site visits.
  • Provide instruction to maintain and improve craftsmanship skills.
  • Establish tracking systems to capture training and quality control results and update requirements.
  • Assist with quality issues and work to report to the factory in addressing.
  • May be assigned other duties, as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of field experience working with Rack & Pinion equipment.
  • 3+ years' experience with installation, service and dismantling Rack & Pinion equipment in the field.
  • 3+ years Quality Assurance / Management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting consultative needs analyses and implementing scalable training programs across broad and differing business units.
  • Strong background with electrical and mechanical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing complex SOP and training materials preferred.
  • Knowledge of Rack & Pinion Solution products and concepts preferred.
  • Licensed electrician preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Travel will be required, on an as-needed basis, to remote staff and / or vendor sites.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment.
  • Must be able to visit job sites (various environments).
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to stand and present at meetings.
