Responsibilities :

• Manage daily order book and suppliers within your responsibility.
• Perform initial item set up in the system for new purchases.
• Create purchase orders based on requirements. Maintain purchase order quantities, prices, and due dates.
• Communicate order requirements to suppliers. Monitor supplier performance including on-time delivery, pricing, payments, service levels and quality.

Communicate shipping, packaging, labeling, and transportation instructions.

• Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications (and expectations) and follow up for answers / approvals from your internal counterparts.
• Prepare reports on an ongoing basis to assist in managing key customer and supplier relationships.
• Review pre-production and post-production samples and communicate approvals or changes to the supplier.
• Manage the open order cycle (Critical Delivery Order Book) to ensure the success and timeliness of all purchases.
• Coordinate actions and communications with internal customers (Sales, Operations, Asia, etc.) to manage the critical delivery order book and to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Escalate any deviation(s) and changes and take necessary action(s) to prevent delivery date slippages / operational delays.
• Take the lead with the China team to ensure they are delivering information and meeting deadlines.
• Verify carton markings accurateness for Purchase Order, Item Number, UPC, and Country of Origin.
• Record receipts and maintain monthly customer invoicing reports.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree preferred, but not required, with focus in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organization and communication skills are required.
• Working experience in supply chain, merchandising, logistics or operations.
• Must be proficient in MS Excel and computer literate and able to work / train in new systems.
• Prior experience working with key retailers such as Five Below, Ross and Target a plus.
• Experience buying and supplying goods in China preferred.
